Sankalpians were connected virtually for the celebration of 75th anniversary of India’s Independence. The school conducted several programs and activities for a week from 9th August to 15th August and named the theme as “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav”. Children were given an opportunity to participate in several activities and competitions such as drawing, painting, fancy dress, craft, pencil decoration, salad decoration, pot painting, handicraft etc. in the Indian tricolor theme. The best performers of the competition were awarded with prizes and merit certificates which were delivered at their home as the school was closed due to COVID 19 pandemic.
Children were also encouraged to put their views about the significance of freedom struggle and the freedom fighters through power point presentations, role plays and speeches. The main motto of celebrating this event for a week long was to create an awareness among the children about the struggle of the freedom fighters to get our country free from the colonial rule. Not only children but also their parents got an opportunity to participate in Rangoli Competition. Parents appreciated this initiative of school amid the COVID 19 pandemic.
