Master M Sai Ritwick Bharadwaj and Master Satyajit Prusty of Sankalp Senior Secondary School, Ralab presented a project titled “Organic Farming- Sustainable Source for Soil Fertility” in the state level competition held at Shree Krishna International School, Bhubaneswar on 27 & 28 November 2021. The project is selected for the National level Children Science Congress 2021. The state level event was conducted by National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India with a focal theme – “Science for Sustainable Living”. The project is focused on the benefit of organic farming using vermicompost which is one of the ways to achieve sustainable development. The students did their research work on the project under the able guidance of the science teachers Ms Nelufa Yasmin and Ms Lipika Jena.
Around 125 schools from Odisha participated in the 29th state level Children’s Science Congress. The project presented by Sankalp Senior Secondary School is one among the 24 projects selected for National Level Children’s Science Congress and Sankalp Senior Secondary School is the only School from Ganjam district to achieve this.
The school management, principal and members of the parent community appreciated the students and the mentor teachers for this outstanding achievement.
